This is simple, And its also good for beginners try to learn good effects, And maybe some good images.

First, Make a new document.Make the BG Color Black.(Doesnt matter which size). Take any brush out(I recommend a abstract brush for better quality), And brush as much as you want around the image.

Second, Make a new layer.(Make it the BG Color,Black.), Get another brush out.(I recommend it being darker than the first one we use). Try getting around alot if we're going to join two brushes together. Then, Go to Dialogs > Layers > Make the layer Overlay.

An example is our banner. I used Bash Brush set, And an abstract brush et. I used the abstract one first, Then the harder and darker brush after.

This also works good with making a render darker or lighter. Just do step 2 and 1 exactly the same, But you dont have to use the first brush to make the render darker or lighter.
